A 14-year-old boy was sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a hit-and-run collision with a vehicle in Surrey, B.C., on Sunday, according to the Surrey Police Service.

Police say they were called to the intersection of Old Yale Road and Mall Access, between Holland Park and Central City Mall, shortly after 10 p.m.

"Officers arrived to find that a 14-year-old boy had been struck by a vehicle that had fled the scene," said Staff Sgt. Lindsey Houghton in a news release.
